EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE

The Foundation Stage is for children in the reception class and is designed to be a comfortable bridge between Nursery/Pre School and the slightly more formal and structured environment of the school. It provides a broad curriculum based on the three prime and four specific areas of learning and development.

PRIME AREAS

  • Personal, Social, and Emotional Development: Making relationships; self-confidence and self-awareness; managing feelings and behavior.
  • Physical Development: Moving and handling; health and self-care.
  • Communication and Language: Listening and attention; understanding; speaking.

SPECIFIC AREAS

  • Literacy Reading, writing & speaking.
  • Mathematics Numbers; shapes, space, and measure.
  • Understanding the World People and communities; the world; technology
  • Expressive arts & design, Sports Exploring and using media and materials; being imaginative; working on physical strength and growth.

PRIMARY STAGE – CLASS I to V

    Through the curriculum we aim to celebrate diversity and work towards holistic development of children
  • We would teach all subjects in the CBSE Curriculum.
  • The core subjects of Mathematics, English, EVS, Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and Languages Hindi & Gujarati as well as the foundation subjects Games, Dance, Art & Music.
  • Our intention is to seek a better balance and give more equal status to all the subjects.
  • We recognise that proficiency in Literacy and Numeracy underpins a person’s ability to make sense of the world.
  • Our children would be encouraged to be creative and every opportunity would be given to develop their confidence, knowledge, self-esteem and life skills through technology, physical education and the creative and performing arts.

MIDDLE STAGE – CLASS VI to VIII

During these years from classes VI to VIII we ensure that students develop right attitudes towards Academics. Positive beliefs and mindsets towards learning will take them a long way to ensure that they become scholars of the future.
